In towns and also in eco-villages, lots of artisans add their own personal touch through various materials and metals. In the Uzège area, for example, in the towns of Uzès, Saint Quentin la Poterie and Pouzilhac, clay is the material that artisans have traditionally worked with, whereas near the Pont du Gard there are many stonemasons. Elsewhere, there are leather-workers, glass-blowers and craftspeople working with wood and iron.
