NewsSymbiosphère intervention

As part of the preservation of our environment and the protection of the fauna and flora, the Domaine des Barons had the pleasure to receive last week the team of Symbiosphere (www.symbiosphere.fr) which takes care of the maintenance of our ornithological installations. Symbiosphere offers wooden refuges designed to restore living spaces favorable to threatened biodiversity.

Our nesting boxes are designed to provide a home for a large number of birds and chiropterans/bats throughout the year, especially during the breeding season. As a thank you, during your walks in the Domaine you will be able to hear the birds singing nice vacation melodies.

The team, with their passion for birds, gave us the benefit of their great know-how and also gave us precious advice. We learned, among other things, that we could recognize the species of a bat by the sound it emits.

Did you know that? It is also possible for a chickadee to build several nests on top of each other.

As a bonus, we have installed a few shelters for our hedgehog friends.

In total, it is more than fifty shelters that will have welcomed the fauna of the Domain, allowing the birth of many birds that our visitors will be able to photograph throughout the year.
